Garden refuge

I take refuge in my garden
When I have had enough
Going to my telephone
It is just too rough

Checking and checking
Just one thing I loved lingers
Time, where are you
Slipping through my fingers

Wishing for that moment
Stepping out of time
Taking refuge in my garden
You’re still on my mind

Breathing deeply
Smelling flowers
My mind calms
Regretting all the hours

I lingered at your side
Losing ground
Leaving my soul
And my individuality behind

Soothing, the presence
Nourishing, every touch
Embodied by the senses
I leave behind the rush

My womb feeling the presence
Of all that blooms
My soul feeling nurtured
As nature’s spirit looms

Going beyond the feeling of you
Breaking through time
I hold on to gravity
As I fly with the divine
