One poem a day

One poem a day
How? You might say
Just one word to start
That’s the beginning of art

Just one sentence
Can symbolize the essence
Of that which brings life
And nourishes that for which we strive
	
We strive every day
Why? you might say
Just one step at a time
Brings the beginning of a new paradigm

Just one thought
Can influence the chord
Of which we are all made of
And nourishes that which we call love

Be love today
How? You might say
Just one open heart
Can mend that which was torn apart

Just one willing heart
Can close the gap
Of that which separates heaven and earth
And nourishes the womb of our new birth
