Resurrection

The silent whisper
Of her inner voice speaks
So calm, yet so overwhelming
Her body wonders how to react
Offering a warm paralysis
An ambiguous act

Waiting for release
She surrenders
Ready to accept
That overwhelming urge
To adapt

A new reality sets in
Strangely familiar
Like an old knowledge
Long forgotten
But for a moment in her youth

Discomfort, disbelieve
Dissociation brings relieve
The silent whisper speaks
You don’t have to leave this time
Offering a small insight
To a new paradigm

Waiting for an answer
Her body quivers
Ready to surrender
To the inevitable rejection
And adapt

A new reality sets in
Strangely familiar
Like an old recognition
Long forgotten
But for a moment in her youth

Then
Within a silent glance
A smile
A dance
She meets herself again
No need to surrender
No need to adapt
Ready to resurrect
Her Self
