I run to me

I run to me
To the one place
I can be
Unconditionally

I run to me
To honestly see
If I am still there
Effectively

I run to the core of my being
Where my truth resides
I wonder how far I have wandered
To please the world outside

How far do we run
How far do we hide
How diluted must we become
Before we turn the tide

Or will we fade in oblivion
Empty shells that roam the earth
Forever running outwards
To find a warm hearth

Our own fires extinguished
No coals left in the hearth
No fuel left to nourish
No passion left to birth

I run to me
I heat my core
I birth my life
In galore
